The Main Band is the most senior group within Thurrock Spectrum Brass and is frequently engaged to play at events and functions across Thurrock and the wider area. We are a positively-minded group of individuals who enjoy making music together to a high standard.
The Main Band programme for the coming season is based around Music for the Stage and Silver Screen and will include a number of different pieces of music from the genre.
The Band is made up of cornets (similar in appearance to a trumpet, but with a softer sound), tenor and baritone saxhorns (created by Adolph Sax, inventor of the saxophone) trombones, euphonium (tenor tuba) and bass tuba. We are always on the look out for more musicians to join our line-up and would welcome anyone who would be interested in taking part in some fun, enjoyable music making.
