Thurrock Spectrum Brass is a lively community brass band based right here in Thurrock, Essex.
We started back in 1998, when a group of local musicians came together with one goal — to share their love of brass music and make it something everyone could enjoy.
From our very first rehearsal to today, that spirit hasn’t changed. We welcome players of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities — whether you’re brand-new to music or haven’t played in years.
Our founding conductor, local music teacher Rosemary Mann, led the band until 2016, when she passed the baton to Gregory White, who proudly continues her legacy of community and creativity.
Our Mission
We believe music brings people together.
Our aim is simple: to give everyone the chance to learn, play, and enjoy brass music in a friendly and supportive setting.
At Thurrock Spectrum Brass, it’s not just about making music — it’s about making connections and having fun along the way.
